Loading Operating System error Windows 7

Unable to boot Windows 7, Last thing i want to hear from my kids is ... Dad.. can you replace this junk PC as it is not booting?

Well, it has 3.5 GHz processor, 8GB RAM, 2TB HDD and 20" LED screen and Gigabyte hi-end USB3 Mother board .. blah blah...

"Loading Operating System" and a Cursor blinks at a Black screen.

I tried the System Repair disk which i created (164 MB) and did the Repair for startup problems and also tried System resore and the complete system Image restore... Guess what, as expected nothing helped.

Then i turned to Internet search and found lots and lots of info which did not help, found the Bootrec command, many of them used just one command and it did not help them
I did something different (shown below) and helped in resolving the issue

1) Booted using the 'System repair' disk
2) Clicked on the last option to choose the 'Command prompt'
3) Typed in the following commands one after the other

Bootrec /RebuildBCD    and hit Enter key
Bootrec /FixBoot           and hit Enter key

and then
4) Rebboted the PC

Issue resolved

iPhone 4s (Siri)

iPhone 4s(Siri) is going to revolutionize the way we interact with our phones and people
It can hear and understand what you ask and provides you a closest possible solution.

Ask Siri "Will it be sunny this weekend in Miami" and Siri gives you the weekend forecast.

She can send text messages for you.
You just have to say who it is for and the message. Siri writes and sends your text.

You don’t have to type in, just ask Siri to remind you.
Just Say ‘Remind me to pick up my Kids from school at 3pm’ and she sets a reminder for you

Can somebody steal my passwords ?

Yes, Its possible now ( In fact, this stuff was around since 15 years or more ) and you don't even get to know if your PC / Laptop has one planted and the hacker (may be your spouse / room mate / Parents ... ) may have received captured information through email. This crooked software is called the Key Logger software.

Googling for 'key loggers' would result in many paid software and some allow it for trial and the trial period is enough to steal the required information to gain access to your personal information and you don't even get to know about it. Information captured include what ever you type using your physical keyboard ( like your credit card numbers, passwords etc)

There are many kinds of them like user mode, kernel mode key loggers ... not going into details, Let's see how we can prevent theft.

1) Do not use internet center / cyber cafe pc's for bank or internet transactions.

2) Use Software key pads. Most of the Internet banking websites use this aka Virtual keyboard.

3) Always use Anti-spyware softwares and scan your shared PC / Laptops at least once in a week or less.

4) And the.... Anti-virus software definitions need to be up to date.
